Terms of Service

1. Agreement

Use of the service constitutes acceptance of these terms. If they are not acceptable to you, please refrain from using the service.

2. Service description

Mime is a personal memory management tool. Its sole function is receiving information from the user, storing it encrypted in a personal account, and returning it upon user request.

The service does not include:

• Medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. Consult a licensed professional.
• Provision of external information (weather, news, recipes, or any information the user did not personally provide).
• Generation of independent content (poems, essays, code, new ideas).
• Substitution for personal memory for critical needs. The service is an aid, not a substitute.

Calendar connection (the sole exception to the no-integrations rule): Mime can, at the user's request only, connect the user's own Google Calendar — free reading of events, and creating, updating, or deleting an event solely after the user's explicit confirmation of each action. Attendee invitations are sent by the calendar provider itself, only to addresses the user explicitly supplied. Disconnect at any time with the /calendar disconnect command, which deletes the stored keys and revokes the authorization at the provider. There is no other integration with external services. 3. User responsibilities

The following uses are prohibited:

• Storing data about other persons in violation of law, including the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981.
• Storing or distributing illegal content under the Penal Law, 5737-1977.
• Bypassing security mechanisms or attempting to access other users' accounts.
• Acting on behalf of another user without authorization.
• Sending automated traffic intended to impair service availability.
• Attempting reverse engineering or extraction of the service's proprietary components.
• For calendar connections: connecting a calendar that is not the user's own, or using event invitations to send abusive or unwanted content to others.

Violations result in suspension or account deletion. Serious violations may be reported to law-enforcement authorities.

4. User content and intellectual property

All information sent to the service remains the full property of the user. The service operators do not claim any copyright in user content. The service operators are granted a limited license to process the content solely for the purpose of providing the service to the user.

The "Mime" trademark, the graphic mascot, and the site design are property of the service operators.

5. Fees

In the current beta stage, the service is offered free of charge to invited users. Upon transition to a commercial service, rates will be published on the site at least 30 days before taking effect. No surprise pricing. Any change in the price of an existing subscription requires the user's explicit consent.

6. Subscription cancellation and service termination

Cancellation is processed through a verified three-step procedure designed to prevent accidental or unauthorized cancellation:

1. Open a request on the site. Initiated on the cancellation page at mime.co.il. A one-time confirmation code is issued.
2. Verify via WhatsApp. Within 60 minutes of receiving the code, verify it by sending it as a WhatsApp message to the Mime account.
3. Type the confirmation phrase. After verification, type the exact confirmation phrase displayed on screen, for final approval.

Completion of the three steps stops renewal of the subscription for the next period. The service remains active through the end of the paid period. No refunds on already-paid periods.

Consumer rights under the Consumer Protection (Cancellation of Transaction) Regulations, 5770-2010, are preserved in distance transactions, subject to the eligibility conditions set in the Regulations.

Suspension by the service operators may occur in case of Terms violation, suspected abusive activity, or legal demand.

Should the service be discontinued entirely, at least 90 days' advance notice will be given, and a full data-export tool will be provided.

7. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "AS-IS". The service operators take reasonable efforts to ensure availability, stability, and quality, but do not bear liability for indirect, lost-profits, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Do not rely on the service for memory of life-critical or health-critical information. Maintain an external backup.

This limitation does not apply to damages resulting from willful misconduct or gross negligence, to the extent prohibited by mandatory law.

8. Indemnification

The user undertakes to indemnify the service operators against any third-party claim arising from the user's breach of these terms or from the user's unlawful use of the service, including reasonable legal expenses.

9. Changes to terms

Material changes are notified at least 14 days in advance via WhatsApp and via update of this page. Continued use after the update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed solely by Israeli law. Exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute lies with the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo.

11. Miscellaneous

• Severability. If any provision is found invalid, it will be interpreted in the manner best enabling its enforcement, and the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
• No waiver. Failure to enforce a right does not constitute a waiver.
• Entire agreement. This document, together with the Privacy Policy and the Data Deletion instructions, constitutes the entire agreement.
• Assignment. The user may not assign rights under these terms. The service operators may assign rights and obligations in the context of a merger, acquisition, or reorganization.
